| 19/03/2008 - VC BET 7/1 PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE TO BE DECIDED BY GOAL DIFFERENCE | |
| VC BET 7/1 PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE TO BE DECIDED BY GOAL DIFFERENCE It is very tight at the top of the Premier League and VC Bet reckon it is only 7/1 against the title being decided by goal difference. Neal Wilkins from VC Bet commented “Arsenal are clearly in decline at present but could still resurrect their title ambitions with a win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and Manchester United have to face Liverpool on the same afternoon. Arsenal also have the small matter of a visit to Old Trafford so their destiny is in their own hands. One thing is for sure – it will be the tightest title battle for many seasons. | 09/03/2008 - VC BET RECKON AVRAM SHOULD NOT BE TAKING HIS JOB FOR GRANTED! | |
VC BET RECKON AVRAM SHOULD NOT BE TAKING HIS JOB FOR GRANTED! Rafa Benitez may have survived the Barnsley Chop when Liverpool were bundled out of the FA Cup in the fifth round by the Yorkshire side but VC Bet reckon it is just a question of time before Avram Grant leaves the Bridge following his side’s incredible 1-0 defeat to Barnsley in the quarter-final and have made Gus Hiddink the 11/4 favourite to succeed him. Neal Wilkins from V C Bet commented “To go out of two winnable competitions in the space of two weeks could prove too much to bear for Abramovich and we consider Avram Grant’s days to be numbered. Leaving Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard out of the squad proved to be a huge error of judgement and on the back of the Carling Cup defeat the portents are not looking good for Grant.” NEXT PERMANENT CHELSEA MANAGER - WHO WILL SUCCEED AVRAM GRANT AS CHELSEA MANAGER Guus Hiddink 11/4 Frank Rijkaard 9/2 Marcelo Lippi 13/2 Mark Hughes 10/1 Luis Scolari 10/1 Dick Advocaat 14/1 Gianfranco Zola 14/1 Ronny Levy 16/1 Jurgen Klinsmann 16/1 Harry Redknapp 20/1 Valery Gazzaev 20/1 Gerard Houllier 20/1 25/1 and upwards others. |

| 26/02/2008 - WHO WILL SUCCEED AVRAM GRANT? | |
WHO WILL SUCCEED AVRAM GRANT? With speculation rife that all is not rosy at Chelsea, VC Bet has opened a market on who will eventually succeed Avram Grant at Stamford Bridge. The firm admit that if Grant was to leave, it would probably happen in the summer, and they have installed Guus Hiddink as their 11/4 favourite. “Hiddink has to be favourite, especially with his links to Abramovich, but there are some interesting candidates around at the moment.” said VC spokesman Neal Wilkins. “The old guard of Lippi, Scolari, Advocaat, Ranieri and others will always be in the frame, but there are younger coaches with Chelsea connections like Zola, Hughes and Deschamps who might be in the running.” The firm though are pretty dismissive of a return to Chelsea of Jose Mourinho, and they quote him at 28/1 to make a sensational return. “He’s more likely to take over at Barcelona, and then that would release Frank Rijkaard to take the reins at Stamford Bridge.” added Wilkins. Who will succeed Avram Grant as the next Chelsea manager? Guus Hiddink……….11/4 Frank Rijkaard………9/2 Marcelo Lippi……….13/2 Luis Scolari………….10/1 Mark Hughes……….10/1 Dick Advocaat………14/1 Gianfranco Zola…….14/1 Ronny Levy…………16/1 Jurgen Klinsmann…..16/1 Gerard Houllier……..20/1 Valery Gazzaev…….20/1 Harry Redknapp……20/1 Ottmar Hitzfeld…….22/1 Didier Deschamp…..25/1 Claudio Ranieri…….28/1 Jose Mourinho……..28/1 |
